The Greater Accra Regional Office together with staff from the Commission's headquarters, held an engaging sensitisation session at the Islamic University College of Ghana in Adjiringanor on Wednesday, 16th April 2026.

The session, led by Abdul Rashid Gbambu, a Principal Programmes Officer brought together 85 students and student leaders from the SRC and NUGS. Discussions focused on NACSAโ€™s mandate, understanding small arms and light weapons, Ghanaโ€™s legal framework on arms possession, and the risks of illicit proliferation.

During the interactive Q&A session, facilitated by Aaron Apronti, a Senior PPRME Officer, and Gideon Nana Asmah, an Assistant Programmes Officer, students shared thoughtful perspectives on arms control, legal and responsible gun ownership, and personal safety.
