NACSA took its mission to the bustling heart of the Somanya Taxi Station in the Eastern Region. Recognizing that transport hubs can unknowingly become pathways for illicit weapons, the Commission engaged directly with 162 drivers, passengers and hawkers to turn them into active partners for peace.

Ms Rebecca Ahiamadzor led a session on the dangers of illicit arms and the legal requirements for firearm possession. She specifically called on drivers to be more vigilant about the goods they transport, reminding them that their eyes on the road are essential for protecting the safety of all Ghanaians.

The community's response was overwhelmingly positive, with participants calling for more frequent sensitisation programs and direct confidential reporting channels for gun-related issues. Together, we are ensuring that our transport units remain safe zones as the fight against gun violence reaches every corner of our communities.
