The newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Ghana National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons (NACSA), Ms. Afi A. Yakubu, has called on all members of staff of the Commission to show more dedication, hard work and teamwork in order to achieve the aspirations of the Commission.

Speaking at a brief handing-over ceremony at the Commission’s Head Office in Accra on Thursday 28th April, 2022, the new Executive Secretary called for the support of all staff to move the Commission to greater heights in the pursuit of the mandate of the NACSA. She admonished the staff to work in harmony as one family and approach one another with respect and an open-mind.

She expressed her utmost appreciation to H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, for the honour done her and said that she considered her appointment by the President a great privilege and a recognition of the good work that was started over twenty (20) years ago.

Ms. Afi Yakubu also expressed gratitude to the immediate past Executive Secretary, Mr. Jones B. Applerh, for his contribution and dedication to the course of the Commission during his tenure of office, and to all staff for their efforts, commitment and support to her predecessor for the duration of his stay in office.

She assured the immediate past Executive Secretary and the staff of her commitment to further the good work of her predecessor.
