The outgoing Executive Secretary of the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Mad. Afi Yakubu, has officially handed over the affairs of the Commission to the incoming Executive Secretary, Mr. Samuel Williams Yeboah.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony which presided over by the Board chairman of the Commission, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso, Mad. Yakubu affirmed that in the last year, the Commission has been able to undertake some initiatives especially in Public Education and Sensitization as one of tools in combating the proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons in the country.

Mad. Afi Yakubu also expressed her profound gratitude to the Board and staff of the Commission for their tremendous support during her tenure in office.

While receiving the handing over documents, Mr. Williams Yeboah assured all present of his commitment to the development of the Commission. He also appealed to the Board and the staff for their maximum support and cooperation.

The Board chairman, Rev. Prof. Frimpong-Manso wished Mad. Yakubu more success in her endeavors, while assuring the new Executive Secretary of his continued support, loyalty and cooperation.
